FAQ

Flyer Printing

Can I print more at one go and store the balance with you?

Yes. Since we use offset printing, the unit cost is lower when you print in larger quantities. If you are planning to use the flyers over multiple intervals, it may be more cost-effective to print more at once. We can also store the balance for up to 6 months.

Do you do printing only without distribution services?

Yes, we provide printing-only services. You may refer to our printing price chart here. This includes free delivery to one location. If you require other quantities or paper thickness options, please contact us via WhatsApp for a quotation.

What is the lead time for printing?

Printing lead time is usually about 5 working days, subject to artwork approval and production schedule.

Can I mix designs and artwork?

Yes, but printing cost is based on each design, as we use offset printing.

What file format do I need to submit?

We accept print-ready PDF files. If you are sending editable files such as AI, PSD, or INDD, please also include all linked images and fonts, or convert the text to outlines.

Do you help check artwork before printing?

Yes, we can do a basic pre-print check for layout, bleed, and resolution. Final content accuracy remains the client’s responsibility.

What paper options do you offer?

We offer different paper thickness options depending on your campaign and budget. Please contact us for the available choices and recommendations.

Can HappiMail handle design as well?

Yes, we provide both design and printing services.

Mailer Distribution (Direct Mail & Admail)

What is the difference between Direct Mail and Admail?

Admail
Admail is an unaddressed mass-mailing service. You do not need a list of individual names or addresses. Instead, you select the areas, postal sectors, and property types you want to target, and SingPost distributes the same mailer to the selected letterboxes. It is generally more suitable for broad, area-based marketing, such as sending flyers to households in specific neighbourhoods or condominiums.

Direct Mail
Direct Mail is an addressed and more targeted mailing service. You provide a specific mailing list with individual addresses, and the mailers are delivered to those recipients. It is more suitable when you already have a target list of customers or properties you want to reach, and it also allows for greater personalisation.

What is mail merge? What do I need to provide for mail merge printing?

Mail merge is commonly used by realtors who want to personalise each letter with an individual property valuation or other recipient-specific information.

Typically, each envelope will contain a generic flyer together with a personalised mail merge letter addressed to the recipient. To prepare the mail merge, you will need to provide an Excel file with the individual addresses and their corresponding property valuations, along with a letter template that can be personalised for each recipient.

You may also include recent transaction data in the letter to help recipients better understand the current market and how similar properties have been selling.

What is the lead time for distribution?

The lead time for distribution is usually about 5 to 7 working days.

Do you provide the mailing list?

For Direct Mail, you may provide your own address list; for condos, we have our own database. For Admail, no address list is needed.

Can I target specific property types or areas?

Yes. For Admail campaigns, targeting can usually be based on areas, postal sectors, and property types, subject to service coverage.

Can you help with the mailing file formatting?

Yes, we can advise on the required Excel format for Direct Mail and mail merge projects.

Is there a minimum campaign quantity?

There is no minimum quantity for Direct Mail. For Admail, there is a minimum order value of $3,000, and the exact quantity will depend on the housing types selected. Please reach out to us for more details.

Door-to-Door Distribution

Are flyers placed at the door or in the letterbox?

Flyers are placed at the door. Most HDB letterboxes are locked by residents.

Do you distribute to landed properties as well?

Yes, we do distribute to landed properties as well. For landed door-to-door distribution, a Strava map screenshot will be taken to show the route covered by our distributors. Please contact us via WhatsApp for a quotation.

How do you ensure the flyers are actually distributed?

We will inform you in advance of the scheduled distribution date and time, and once the distribution is completed, we will update you accordingly.

Our distributions are monitored with live GPS tracking, including distance and route coverage. Photos will also be taken during distribution, including the lift lobbies of each block covered.

You may conduct your own checks as well, but we will also provide supporting proof where applicable. If there is any feedback, please let us know on the same day so that we can take the necessary corrective action.

Can I choose a specific distribution date?

We will try to accommodate your preferred timeline, subject to route availability and scheduling.

Will I receive proof of distribution?

Yes, we can provide distribution updates and supporting proof such as route records and photos where applicable.

Why are other distributors charging much lower prices compared to HappiMail?

In some cases, distributors who are not properly regulated may offer unusually low prices, but this can come with risks such as poor delivery standards or flyers being discarded improperly. We recommend comparing the rates carefully and understanding what is included in the service. If a price seems too good to be true, it may be worth taking a closer look before proceeding.

Can real estate property agents distribute flyers to HDB flats?

With the latest CEA guidance, property agents are encouraged to use addressed mailing methods such as direct mail instead of general flyer distribution to HDB flats. At HappiMail, we can support a range of effective marketing approaches, including mail merge, database targeting, and farming campaigns. Please contact us for more details.

Is there a minimum campaign quantity?

Yes. For door-to-door distribution, the minimum campaign quantity is 1,000 flyers.

Payment

What is the payment process?

Full payment is required in advance before commencement.

Do you accept credit card payment?

Payment is currently via PayNow UEN. If you would like to pay by credit card, you may use CardUp.

Do you issue invoices and receipts?

Yes, we can provide an invoice and payment receipt upon request.

Do you require a deposit?

For most jobs, full payment is required before commencement. For larger campaigns, payment terms may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

What actions will be taken against non-paying clients?

We hope never to strain our relationship with any client, especially since we begin campaigns in good faith, often before full payment is received. If needed, our team will escalate matters to the relevant authorities according to our standard procedure, and the responsible party may be held liable for any costs incurred in that process.
